DOWNTIME: 3/27/2025 - 7pm - CAT supported Linux Systems for patches

Expect reboots and outages of all our user-facing Linux login systems starting at 7pm on Thursday, March 27th as we apply some patches. Unless we run into problems, the work should conclude by 9pm. Systems affected include: - ada/babbage - quizors - ruby/rita - linux lab systems (CS Penguin, CS Particle, FAB 55-17 Linux) - other linux desktops The night’s work includes some critical surgery on the home directory file server. This will make most Linux systems unusable until that work is completed (including Centos and Rocky Linux systems served by the file server).. Windows systems and services should not be affected by this downtime.
