OIT is in the process of implementing major changes to the card access control systems on campus. They have moved up the schedule for FAB and there are two changes happening that could affect us in FAB on Friday, March 20. 

1) The badge/card readers in FAB will be cut over to a new control system. Areas of FAB may encounter brief periods of non-functioning card access intermittently as they change from panel to panel. They are hoping to work on elevators and parking first and then the rest of the building. CPSO is expected to be on hand to deal with emergency access needs. 

2) Simultaneously, the automated lists for granting building and parking access on campus are switching to a different (dynamic) feed mechanism. This is projected to be a seamless operation that is not visible to users. If there are issues, MCECS people would be mostly affected by FAB parking garage access. MCECS access to FAB space is directly managed by the departments or the CAT.
