We are excited to announce that CE 410: Smart Cities, taught by Dr. Tanmoy Bhowmik, will be offered this upcoming Fall term!

CE 410: Smart Cities: "This course explores the foundations of Smart Cities with an emphasis on the design principles and data-driven technologies shaping modern urban transportation systems. Through topics like multimodal capacity, intelligent infrastructure, and urban mobility trade-offs, students gain practical insight into designing sustainable and efficient smart city networks."
  • PREREQUISITE: CE 351: Introduction to Transportation Engineering
CE 410: Smart Cities will count as a Technical Design Elective option for Civil Engineering students. In addition, the following courses are also approved as Transportation Design Electives:
  • CE 450 Transportation Safety Analysis 
  • CE 458 Public Transportation Systems 
  • CE 459 Transportation Operations
  • CE 462 Traffic Engineering Applications and Signal Timing
  • CE 493 Design and Operation of Bicycle and Pedestrian Infrastructure
